Professional Development

At CRAFT, we focus on answering questions about AI literacy — exploring what it means, why it matters, and how to develop a principled stance that guides responsible decision-making in service of your own practice and student learning goals.

We support educators in deepening their understanding of generative AI tools and concepts, including the ethical responsibilities, risks, and opportunities they present for teaching and learning.

Our approach is grounded in research-based teaching and learning practices. We work in partnership with the Stanford Graduate School of Education Professional Learning Extension (PLEX), which has over 15 years of experience in innovative professional development design and facilitation. Will this require participating in academic research?

Our team actively studies the efficacy of new models for professional learning that are responsive to the needs and challenges of the teaching profession. At CRAFT we favor current research to update our models. You can help shape the future of professional development for others by including your research. Please note that participating in research is optional and can be excluded from any PD experience.

Can I earn continuing education for this PD?

Yes, we can offer continuing education credits. You can discuss options with our team members about whether or not to include continuing education credits and how many. The applicability of CEUs is dependent on the individual policies of each district or school system.

Is there an online-only asynchronous option for this PD?
